Clubs and Activities
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to join clubs and societies that help them explore new interests in a relaxed and informal setting. Whether your child is interested in joining a choir, playing more sports or learning an unfamiliar skill, our clubs give children the opportunity to try something new or extend their existing hobbies.
We are lucky to have enthusiastic teachers and support staff who are passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge. We also benefit in particular from partnerships with organisations like Greenhouse Sports, Pimlico Music Foundation, Westminster School and Imperial College London.
The clubs that we run change from term to term, in line with the interests of the children. In previous terms, clubs have ranged from Chinese to coding and from gardening to orchestra. We do, however, always ensure that there is a good balance of artistic, musical, sporting and other activities for children to explore. In light of feedback from parents, we have also ensured a greater balance between lunchtime and after-school clubs.
During the spring and summer holidays, as well as some half-terms, we also offer free sports clubs for children in Key Stage 2. These give our older students the chance to develop their skills in a range of different sports while spending time outside with their friends and developing their communication and teamwork skills. They are held jointly with our sister primary school, allowing our children to meet other children in the local area, with whom they may later attend secondary school.
We encourage all children to take advantage of the diverse range of clubs on offer: they give children opportunities to discover and pursue their unique talents and interests, and they help them to develop into well-rounded individuals while making friends and having fun.
